Level 2 Qualification for Retirement Housing Professionals

ARHM in partnership with The Property Institute (TPI) is proud to launch a brand-new foundation qualification tailored for on-site staff and retirement housing managers.

Whether you’re new to the sector or seeking to build confidence and credibility in your current role, this Level 2 course delivers a comprehensive introduction to the core principles of retirement housing management.

This course has been designed with the unique challenges and responsibilities of retirement housing in mind. Whether you’re just starting out in the sector or looking to boost your capabilities in your current role, this programme provides a solid grounding in the core principles of retirement housing management.

About the Course

Developed in line with the ARHM Code of Practice, this Level 2 course introduces you to the fundamentals and responsibilities of working in retirement housing. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the sector’s key requirements, plus relevant and practical day-to-day knowledge of operations.

The course includes:

  • Integrated AI technology to support learning
  • Updated content across legal, technical, and H&S modules
  • Glossary of key property management terms
  • Strengthened exam for improved assessment standards.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll build knowledge and skills across six essential modules:

  1. Introduction to Leasehold Property Management
  2. Understanding the Leasehold Legal Framework
  3. Health & Safety in Property Management
  4. Customer and Consumer Relationships
  5. Ethics and Professional Behaviours
  6. Retirement Housing Management.

Assessment

Upon completing all six modules, candidates will take a final online exam consisting of 60 multiple choice questions.

  • Pass mark: 70% (42 out of 60 correct)
  • Access to Course Content and Exam: 12 months
