We are delighted to announce that our revised Code of Practice has received Government approval under Order 2016 no. 505. The Code becomes effective from 1st June 2016. We will be holding an event to mark the official launch of the Code on 7th June, hosted by our President Baroness Sally Greengross at Portcullis House Westminster. The event will also celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the ARHM. The Board would like to recognise and thank Richard Wheeldon and Don Kennedy’s hard work which has been instrumental in achieving approval. Our thanks also extend to the Better Rented and Leasehold Team at the Department of Communities and Local Government, in particular Ian Fuell (formerly DCLG) and Charlie Chappell.
The Code of Practice underpins our aims and objectives in raising standards in retirement housing and we look forward to working with our members and the wider sector to achieve this.
